They asked for 10 hrs of dual by an approved instructor (all HPAT pilots are considered approved) with no 6-month or annual follow-up. They also requested a pre-flight inspection by a Lancair-approved individual. For $300k hull/$1 million liability my rate was $5300 the first year dropping to $4800 the second year. AIG has been very responsive to my direct calls and to my broker SkySmith Insurance. Joe is right (it was bound to happen ;-) when stating that recurrent training is important.
