Hi Bill,

I've got a Riechel trim wheel on my 320. Works good, lasts a long time. Takes care of all of the problems with the stock trim system. I don't think that it would work on a IV though. It's designed to work with the bias springs on a 320/360.

I saw one installed in a 320(?) and thought it was a very nice system. A while ago there was a thread about runaway trim and that got me thinking. I like the idea of a positive mechanical connection as opposed to pushing a button and waiting for the response. Eliminating the trim tab and the weight of the servo would reduce the weight of the elevator, eliminate tab hinge wear, and might require less counterweight. OTOH I can imagine that being able to adjust trim by pushing a button on the stick would be very convenient.

What do those who have the system think of it? Has anyone installed such a system on a IV? Thanks-  Bill Wade
