I have wondered those same things, about the CO not to
mention the flow of the exhaust over or under the wing.
I plan on monitoring this during the testing.
The issue was that I hired a custom fabricator to
build this exhaust and we designed it to bring it out in the usual place.
However after 12 weeks of telling me that it would be tomorrow, he brought
me this set up. I was too exhausted from the procrastination and not building
what I asked for and what we designed I gave in, with the attitude that I
would get it flying and test everything and make the modifications I needed to
after flying and testing. Of course I only paid him 75% of the agreed price
as his rational for not building what we agreed on was the amount of work would
have been more. Not to mention all the extra work on the cowling I had to
do as a result of this.
These are good points to be watched. I will monitor
and provide the information. Who knows it may be very effective and safe?
