That is a good number and one I have been using safely in my Lancair
IVP with a TSIO 550E for years. I DO NOT recommend that folks mess
around with their fuel flow and then try it on a short runway as was
mentioned elsewhere. Too much fuel and the engine will quit. Not a good thing
when you are at a 3000 or 4000 foot runway and 100 feet in the air. IMHO this is
probably what contributed to Dave Hickman's fatal IVP accident.
