A lot of folks have replaced  the nylon tubing in the gear legs with aluminum tubing to avoid the obvious problems associated with nylon and high heat.  Much has been written on this problem and you may want to check the archives for  background.  As I recall, a special tool is required.  Someone made up the tool and it was passed around from builder to builder.  You may have to ask on the LML to locate it.

The bolts holding the rear spar to the gearbox have to be checked each annual.  To make the process a little easier, I cut out a small square  in each spar cover and added a removable cover with gasket.  Unfortunately, the original spar covers were not perfectly flat and, at the time, I didnt think to build up a perfectly flat surface for my gasket, SOooo, I ended up with  small  pressure leaks that took a lot of silicone to seal.    BUMMER       Good luck with your building.  Bill Hogarty
