Will,

2 bid each side for the rib.  The doors are standard MS hinge, like what was supplied in the kit.  The doors do not need to be very large.  You can flow a lot of gas through a one or two square inch hole.

The pass-through was a lay-up on a spare piece if 1x3 aluminum I had laying around.  The vents on the upper surface are two aluminum tubes.(see attached)
