Hello Napa Fly In Attendees, former attendees and other interested parties:
A week ago Craig posted on the Lancair mailing list a small post about our upcoming fly in. I had attached hotel information and rental car information in a word document that a couple of folks have noted they cannot open. I have a new Word program and apparently there is incompatible formats between it and the older Words. Imagine that. Well I saved it in another format so try this. Both rates are now set up with the hotels so you can book near the airport if you wish. IF you would like other suggestions closer to the Napa Valley (there will be some driving back and forth if you do this...) I am happy to advise. We are finishing planning the meals and social schedule. There are also a couple of possible break out forums that people have mentioned and I will keep you advised of those. Thanks for your patience.

Here is the original post from LML las t week:
Greetings from Oshkosh Day One, Plans are being
finalized for the Northern California Napa/Nut Tree fly in (KVCB) for
the weekend of October 17-19. HPAT will be offering insurance approved
flight training (initial and recurrent) throughout the weekend with
ground school beginning Saturday the 18th at 0830. To register online
go to www.hp-at.com and click on register now on the bottom of the main page. Social
activities include dinner at the Gainzas on Saturday night, wine
tasting as usual, a huge outlet mall across from the airport, an
ice-rink and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for children/grandchildren.
For those interested in a longer vacation, San Francisco is hosting
fleet week October 9-14. It is the most impressive venue for viewing
the Blue Angels and the Snowbirds (google: fleetweek San Francisco 2008 for details). Attached is hotel information with special rates. Ground school is being limited to the first 30 participants, so please register early. Looking forward to seeing you there.
