The new AOA system I noticed at OSH was Alpha Systems. www.alphasystemsaoa.com I've never seen it actually work, but it just looked interesting. Anyone else have any more info or ideas about this one? I believe this company had an LRI system or indicator at least in the past, but they have a new product.
The brochure quotes NTSB records as of 2001 that 28% of all general aviation type-certificated airplanes, 5222 accidents were caused by unintentional stalls. Experimental aircraft were 318 of 701 fatal accidents (45%) were caused by unintentional stalls.
Again, I know nothing of this product, I have not verified the claims or numbers, I'm just passing on information that appears to be a good option. The LED's were bright and large. The electronic version is $895, and the mechanical version is $550.

Ron,
What is the name of the new AOA you saw at Oshkosh? I'd love to put one in my
360, but doing the installation on a flying airplane is a lot more work. I'd
like to check out the installation of the new one you saw.
Thanks,
Matt McManus
