A friend and fellow Lancair pilot (located in FL, not currently on the LML) has lost the brains (control unit) of his EPI 800 engine monitoring system. It is not repairable because of the age of the boards within it.  VM does not support any of their products more than 10 years old ( http://www.visionmicrosystems.com/ ).

 

So...............

 

Does anyone out there have a usable control unit for an EPI 800 that they no longer need?  If so, please contact Tom Giddings at 727-858-1772  ( N360TG@earthlink.net ) directly.  It is, uh, impossible for him to fly without an engine monitor.
