Maybe a lot of these crashes are a result of people who did not build their plane and as a result are not concerned with all the intricacies that go into building, maintaining and flying such a plane?" I agree; a) did they build it? b) did they get advanced training, specified to the plane? c) are they member of the LML? Pulling a list of all the owners of Lancair's, (especially new owners) and inviting them to participate in the list would also help to enlighten a few and possibly avoid some accidents.
