He wanted to use = his own crimper that he was familiar with, and I agreed--he'd previously = built his own RV. After chasing intermittent operation of the wingtip = strobes and difficulty in calibrating my fuel system, I started through = the wiring. The crimps in these connections were not tight--two had = pulled out. Easily fixed, but a couple of days and much head-scratching = to trouble shoot.=20 Moral of the story: If you don't have good crimp tools--and use them = properly, solder the wires--or solder the connecting pins if you must, = but this is certainly an area where cost-cutting could be a very = expensive proposition--it's certainly time consuming and frustrating to = find and repair!
