The plane upside down is a Velocity; the other plane was an RV-8. The two pilots who were killed in the RV were friends and neighbors of mine (and several others on this list), as were at least 20 witnesses to the accident. This link, which features the president of our local EAA chapter, says it all. Understand that he was on final when all of this unfolded in front of him. This next link contains some still photos that shows just how ferocious the fire was. This is a very tragic accident which was completely avoidable. Scott Seagrave N721MS (Reserved)
