I know this doesn't have anything to do with
Lancairs but the manuevers demonstrated by this Su-30 Flanker-C are pretty
amazing. Apparently a lot of this manueverability is due to longitudinal
instability, canards, and thrust vectoring. Watch the wingtip smoke as the
Su-30 manuevers. At the end note that the curved final approach is
flown with the speed brake deployed, and a heck of a lot of tailplane
action.
