I have attached a sketch of a tool that should work. It uses the same principle as the handlebar lock on the bicycle I had (and disassembled) when I was a kid. Machine the tool from 1" aluminum bar stock. Be sure the bolt relief hole is about 7/16" diameter to allow the two parts to slide and lock into the bore of the internal handle.
To use, insert the tool by pushing on the bolt then tighten the bolt and turn the shaft of the tool to open the door.
Be sure to bring the parts to fix the door once it is open.
If you do not have the facility to make the tool in time, let me know and I'll make one in our shop and FedEx it to the FSS for delivery Tuesday.
