Folks
Several responses suggest that something is amiss with this
aircraft, but the key point mentioned in the email was that HE IS CLIMBING AT 400
FPM at 60 kias!. Back with my fixed pitch prop, I didn’t see much better
than this climb rate at 110 mph. At 60 knots, induced drag will be much
greater. I think that all the original poster needs to do is level off at 50
feet and let the aircraft accelerate. Comments anyone?
