jack the tire off the ground
remove the air valve insert at the top of strut
remove (one at a time) hex bolts and blue locktight
(don't let locktight drip inside strut)
push the tire up to collapse the strut.
attach a hose from the valve and dip into your oil
drop the tire sucking oil into the strut
run the strut up and down to remove all air.
push the tire to the top, and remove oil hose
drop wheel, re-insert valve
put 100psi of dry air from local compressor
lower plane from jacks
fly to a friend with N
full both tanks of gas from friends FBO and have two large guys sit on wing
add N such that you have ~2 inches of strut showing (add an inch)
take friend flying and show how you can "grease" landings with new struts.
yea, I've done this a few times.
