A C150 will do 300 Kts with enough of a tail wind, so what?
Boasting about ground speed with tail wind is like telling people how tall you
are while standing on a pile of
books.

Brent, et al,
I am in the 300 Not Club, buoyed by the hot air
often emanating from those that said, "You're not going to fly in that
thing?" But seriously, those of us short on engine equipment have to stand
on something to keep above the pack.
KARR --> Tampa Executive (3FD1) at 9500 MSL, WOT, 2500 RPM, LOP (8.2
GPH), covering 870 NM in about 3:26:00 (flight time above 30 Kts), using 30
gallons for 29 NM/gal at a GS of 242 Kts. Probably a record for a NA 320
CI engine powered heavier-than-air vehicle.
