I would appreciate a
picture if you can get one. The Legacy uses the linear flap motor as
well. Since it moves up and down as well as in and out, I could use some
visual direction as to how to mount the switch. Others have mounted it
on the torque arm. I am open to suggestions… J

I am installing the
Angle of Attack instrument in my Legacy. I am wondering where some of
you installed your flap switch???
Pictures would be
really nice if you have them.
I think Bill is
looking for flap position information to send to the AOA device so the lift
reserve calculation is proper for clean or
dirty.
I put a lever-armed
micro switch on the linear flap motor. The switch is activated
by sensing the end of the guide rod passing by when the flap is deployed
beyond the desired angle. I will see if I can get a picture the next
time I am out at the airport. Maybe this is irrelevant - I don't remember
if the Legacy uses a flap extension mechanism similar to that in the 300
series Lancairs.
