You raised my curiosity!
BRS's web site quotes 15-28 FPS (900-1680 FPM) as the descent rate at rated
weight of the canopy at 5,000 feet density altitude. They also say that at
21 FPS the impact is equivalent to jumping from a 7 foot height and that the
landing gear and the seat will absorb most of the impact. I'm sure the new
26G seats are a factor in the survivability of a ~1,500 FPM THUD!

PS It also appears that in certified installations, the canopies are
rated at the aircraft's VNE.
