For next year, would it be possible to pick a weekend that wont
conflict
with the "Hot August Nights" bash up in Reno.

Thanks for the request for next years fly-in. As you probably read I
got reminded of the Hillsboro and Abbotsford International Airshows
during the same weekend, for which I responded:

end of May to the end of September had either a holiday or some type of aircraft
related event. So we picked a weekend and went with it.<<<
I have also received a request for the following weekend next year or
2 weeks prior which is AirVenture. If I add car events (and yes I
know Hot August Nights is a biggie - been there), guaranteed there will not be a
weekend to pick from, from about mid-April to mid-October. A
decent weather window in southern Oregon is July and August. Any other
period, you never know what you going to get from the weather guy in the
sky.
With the requests we have received, we will do like we did this year
for next year and review every weekend throughout the summer. Or maybe, I
will put out a post that requests all that want to come to pick their weekend,
with the weekend most requested the one.
