Just back from 10 hours of flying from Chino, CA to Omak, WA....then Omak to Arlington and back 3 times....and then back to CNO. I climbed out of CNO early a.m. with an OAT starting at 72 and cooling off to 62. Never saw above 187 in climb out (2500 Rs, 150 KIAS climb). I cruised up to WA between 10.5 and 12.5 at 2300R's and about 18" MAP...Oil Temp ran in the 160-165 degree range. Climb out of Omak at 135-140 knots, 2600 R's (to get over the ridgeline) all the way up to 10.5 with OAT at 90F on the ground....Oil Temp saw 198....which is the highest I saw on the whole trip. Better than that was getting to cross the Cascades 6 times in a single day on an absolutely crystal clear day. The route was the same, but each flight like a new adventure with the change in sun angles. Best part was Omak (just south of the Canadian borer, eh) to CNO in 4:52. I can think of worse ways to travel to remote locations.... ;) Somehow the trip to OSH from CA in a Yak-50 at 145 knots isn't sounding as appealing as it used to... Best part was Omak (just = south of the Canadian borer, eh) to CNO in 4:52.=A0 I can think of worse = ways to travel to remote locations.... ;)

Somehow the trip to OSH = from CA in a Yak-50 at 145 knots isn't sounding as appealing as it used = to...
