Guys (and gals),
I am considering removing the main gear doors on the 320 as a permanent solution to buffeting in flight. I now this sounds radical but all attemts to fix the "problem" thus far have failed. I have had some temporary success but not long term.
Does anyone know of an operational reason which would prevent me flying safely with the gear doors removed? I have already removed the nose gear door and have no noticeable loss in airspeed nor increased noise. The engine temperatures / cooling appear to be unaffected however I do not have a full engine monitor.
Your collective thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Gerard
