Robert, you have a problem and you need to identify the source. You
should start looking in the the most likely place, the installation.
Yea, I know, the manufacturer always blames the installation and my
airplane CAN'T be at fault, but . . . the installation is overwhelmingly
the most common source of problems . . .

Brent,
The installation could indeed be the problem, but Chelton in Boise
decided to make my sleuthing easier by eliminating equipment failure
from the start - they are sending me a new GADAHRS and magnetic PU. I
have one of the few Pinpoints that D2 placed before going submerged and
Chelton just wants to be sure there are no proto-gremlins in the system.
I did not ask them to send the replacements; they offered after I
described the failure and the original installation. I should get the
swap done while the plane is in the paint shop, and the next time you
see it will be on display at Oshkosh.
