Craig, etal

Thanks for your feedback on the labels/guestimates I added to your picture (your updates added/edited below).  I hate to be a pain – but I have an additional question…  If the four grommets (or whatever) to the left of the battery are for thermo couples (EGT, CHT, etc), what are the two 32 pin connectors for? (64 pins is a lot of stuff – when excluding the 6x2x2=24+ thermocouple wires)

FYI, I attached a copy of a spreadsheet I’m making to plan for firewall electrical connections (draft).

I have a TSIO-550 (hence TIT, etc).

I have an EI-MVP50 engine monitor – with dual data boxes for added sensor capacity.  I’m currently planning on putting all transducers in front of the firewall (including MP).  I’m planning for several additional temp and pres lines for future use and/or testing (see the XLS notes column).  I’m currently planning on putting the MVP50 data box(es) behind the firewall (in the cabin) per EI’s suggestion.  However, I’d save 70+ firewall wires if I put the data boxes fwd of the firewall (under consideration).

I’m planning on putting the voltage regulators (2) in the cabin – to help protect them and save a few firewall penetration wires (not finalized).

Are all the pins on your Lancair 32 pin connectors the same size?  I’m guessing that things like my landing light and prop heat circuits will want larger pins to accommodate the current draw (no research yet).  So, I may need separate connectors for those (uncertain).

All thoughts/insights appreciated.

I do not have a photo editor here, so here goes...look at your picture and I'll say what it is.

--power, wire, etc = thermal couples, etc

--not shown on this pic  = two 32 pin connectors left of battery box (careful, Lancair sold me 24 pin connectors with the kit)

--not shown = two mixer box cables above and left of battery box

--Gear = yes, nose gear hydraulic line

-- Fuel return = yes

--??? = manifold pressure under mixer box

--throttle = Yes

--Mixture = Oil door (I think) with engine and baffles installed it is obvious

--Oil door = Mixture (I think)

--Prop = yes
