Here is one hint that might help setting up your engine parameters.  (I learned this the hard way.)  Of the 5 major parameters that you will be tweeking on the TSIO-550E;  (M.P., RPM, F.F., idle mixture, idle RPM), adjusting one will affect the others, to some degree.  It took me a long time to realize that certain tweeks were not linear. BUMMER

As I recall, it took me about 20 test runs before I was satisfied.  (Never been accused of being the sharpest pencil in the bunch).  Anyway, sounds like your making progress, even tho it might be a little messy.
