These types of questions are often hard to communicate adequately in words.
The attached file is a schematic for wiring the fuel pump with two
independent switches for high and low boost.
1. Only High Boost or Low Boost can be selected.
Both power inputs to the pump will never be powered at the same time.
2. High Boost takes priority if both switches are on.
3. If both switches are on (High Boost), and High Boost is turned off, the
fuel pump will revert to Low Boost.
4. Both switches are shown as SPDT (single pole double throw).
The Low Boost switch could be SPST (single pole, single throw).
