This is the greatest tool in my hangar right now. However, I have made two modifications to the rotisserie already. First, I numbered the holes on each side of the tail stand using a magic marker so I could get the strap set at the same height on either side. No more counting the number of holes up or down. Second, I bolted the rigid cross brace upside down in the top holes and connected a pulley system to the top. Now I can raise the tail by hoisting it up using the block and tackle allowing me to change the level of the strap quickly and single handily. The only problem I have encountered is that I can't quite get the tail high enough to put the strap in the top holes needed for complete rotation of the airframe. My solution for this will be to mount the rigid brace on top of the tail stand uprights which should provide enough height for the block and tackle to lift the tail high enough to get the strap in the top holes. Also, anyone who is planning on buying the rotisserie, make sure you purchase the casters also. I bought mine without and the first thing I did was build some casters. Being able to move the airframe around the hangar easily a must. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://members.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please remember that purchases from the Builders' Bookstore assist with the management of the LML.
