I have to throw up the caution flag on
intentionally blocking a fuel vent. I saw a IV-P that got one blocked in
flight and the vacuum the fuel pump created in the tank buckled the
wing skin. I'd sure hate to see that happen while you're waiting to
see if your engine flames out!
