We have the rudder, elevator and flap LED indicators from Ray Allen. They are
very bright in the daylight and no trouble reading them. There is a dimmer
feature, but not a variable dimmer capability. We wired ours to the panel
lighting switch so that when it is turned on, the trim LED's are dimmed. We
have not flown at night, but have checked them in a totally dark hangar. They
may be a little bright, but liveable. I have the electrical schematic pages we
used for the trim system if you would like them.
Now, having said that, I am not all that thrilled with the quality. Whenever
either radio transmits, the LED's go dim and usually send the normally lit
LED/LED's to one extreme or the other. No big deal, but they should have some
circuitry to prevent this.
Hope this helps.
