“The Pinpoint G/ADAHRS is derived from a product that is certified and in use on commercial airliners and high-end business jets and is manufactured by a foreign aerospace electronics company.  This company does not produce products for the general aviation marketplace.  Their certified design was modified to better address the needs of experimental aircraft, resulting in the Pinpoint product, and Direct-To had an exclusive agreement to distribute it in the experimental market. Chelton Flight Systems has assumed this agreement to continue supplying the product to the experimental market in the absence of Direct-To.  Pinpoint is the marketing name of the experimental product, not the name of the manufacturer, who wishes to remain anonymous."
