RE: L-360 Hydraulic System
Garry,
Does the following behavior still apply?
"Then I experienced the problem: when upon up (retraction) command gears went up 75% only, and rest of the movement was in 4 to 7 very short burps to reach full up. I increased the pressure setting on the "H" switch and that fixed the problem, but pressure was not 1000 - 1100psi any more but 1300 - 1400psi."
-this is a classic reversed spool valve symptom
Is this the photo you mentioned earlier? I can't remember who took it - someone on the list. In any case it is opposite of the description from Oildyne below. I should have taken a photo of one of my pumps when it was apart
"They informed me, that in fact my spool was installed correctly. It appears that there is a hole on the face of the spool on the "O" ring side, which needs to face toward DN side, thus "O" ring side needs to face in my case toward DN side.""
<<My Low gage is at 0 psi all the time when I activate High side to retract,... and vise-versa.>>
This is correct behavior.
I am not sure what to make of the conflicting information. Relative to leaks, does your system hold pressure well in both directions?
