Does naybody have a O-360 short mount they can part with for a price or we
can borrow? Landed Unleashed yesterday upon returning to PHX and had a violent
shimmy.

Bummer.  I don't have any of the parts you need, but we sure would like to know what instigated the shimmy besides way too much power/weight in your wee Lancair.  Was it a cupped tire, low strut fluid, low strut air, internal screws loose, external screws loose or what?

 

It is not unusual that violent shimmy results in engine mount failure, thus the interest in avoiding having it ever happen.

 

I think you were lucky that the nose gear did not collapse from a break in the mount.
