I'm speculating here, but I'm betting as soon as the (W)'s are out, the 480 won't be long for this life...I believe the (W)'s will be here this fall. =20 I just went through this exact decision making process and I believe the GNS480 will survive because there is a significant camp that loves the 480 and hates the 530....and vise versa and Garmin recognizes this. I am making the Chelton my primary GPS and am planning on it to have gamma 3 capability this fall. For me, I decided to not have a (W) receiver as back up. The thought being, if WAAS goes out, the non WAAS receiver would not loose capability and could still go point to point. Craig Berland
