 Matt,

I flew behind a 430 for 4 years and love it so I considered the larger 530
for my ES-P.  However I wanted a WAAS-approved unit and so opted for the 480.
I have now used the 480 on a couple long cross country trips and although it
does program differently it seems to be as capable as the 530.  The 530 would
be easier to use but only because that is where my experience lies.  I do miss
the terrain identification of roads, river, and lakes on the 480 as that added
good VFR cross references.
