That's impressive - is he still running a fixed pitch prop? I had a long conversation with Klaus at Oshkosh several years ago about how he was getting such performance out of his O-200, and at that time he was running a wood fixed pitch prop at very high rpms. I remember being curious about the degree to which he balanced his prop because as I recall there was a fairly significant prop shaft extension coming off the crank flange. Thanks for the update! Larry Graves From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Paul Lipps Sorry, Larry! Klaus turns less than 3100 rpm, much to everyone's surprise and amazement. Most think the same as you, that he must be turning F1-style rpm, but he doesn't. How do I know? I designed his Plasma CDI and EFI and am privy to all of his test data. ------=_NextPart_000_000D_01C6B0F4.7C5609C0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
