Once again you and I seem to be sharing gremlins
that no one else does.
I've had the problem off and on, for
years.
When the plane has been sitting - for a few hours
or even weeks - I always look for the hyd pump to run for 1 to 2 seconds when
the master goes on. if it doesn't, I'll crack the dump valve looking for
the pump to run and make downpressure on the gear.
Overcenter locks are great but I don't feel
comfortable taxiing without downpressure.
Like your case, If I can't get the pump to run on
the ground, the gear may not retract in flight either.
I bleed my system under the pilot's seat and keep a
rag there to catch the drip. It's always been the fix.
I wonder if one of the pressure switches is out of
adjustment - maybe in concert with temp changes or other system
leaks.
