I don't think this is such a good idea (advise) at all.  I would absolutely not recommend anybody take off with little or  no pressure in the strut, period!   This should be considered a NO-go item.  And another problem would be prop-to-ground clearance.  Hope you did not damage your strut in doing what you did.   Respectfully, I can't understand how you decided to do another take off under the same conditions ?!!
