We were flying over the Allegheny Mountains and the controller informed another aircraft that he had traffic at his 1 o'clock, a "Lincoln." I looked at Pat and asked what was a Town Car doing up here? A few moments later the other aircraft asked what kind of a plane a Lincoln was. Controller responded that he did not know, but it's identifier was LNC. We just laughed! Pat piped up to him that the traffic was us, a Lancair! Guess we don't have enough Lancairs flying in that area to keep the controllers up on the identifier. Let's go guys, finish those planes!
