If Greenbacks has an O-360, then
without induction losses, and no dynamic pressure, his engine would be
taking in 4.69 cu.ft./ sec. In a lossless duct 2.5" in diameter, the duct
velocity would be 137.5 ft./sec./ 93.8 mph (81.5 kts for you upside-down
blokes!). I wouldn't think that the corrugated SCAT tubing would contribute a
lot to smooth, lossless flow, even in a very short section. The way I look
at it is to take care of all of the little details and the larger issues will be
resolved.
