I received an email from a colleague who a pledge try to recruit at
least three people to send an e-mail to Congress to fight the proposition to
adopt user fees.  I believe such fees are evil because they'll create an
enormous burden on those of us who fly as well as fostering an enormous
bureaucracy to count the money.

The ATA is behind a very sinister lobbying effort to persuade the average
citizen through propaganda efforts that the evil general aviation airplanes
will darken the skies and prevent Joe Sixpack from taking off when he wants.

Also, the FAA "funding" issue is a red herring.  If they ever get off the
dime to initiate installation of ADS-B, they'll actually save money.

And if you are willing to do that, then it would be useful to send
an email message like this to as many fellow general aviation pilots
as you feel comfortable.  If they do the same, the exponential effect
will be felt in Congress.
