Gerard, I've not had that occur with my 235/320.  Nor do I see how the 'spool' could be causing it.  Perhaps you have air trapped in the lines of nose gear system?  Earl

My 12 year old LNC2 has mostly performed flawlessly, however a recurring problem I have is the nose gear door popping open at higher airspeeds (> 140 KIAS). I previously seemed to have fixed the problem by cannabilising my spool valve from an old pump and putting it in my "new" pump obtained from the local boat shop.
Unfortunately the problem has recurred-I have tried adjusting the door actuator for a tighter fit but to no avail. Is this a common problem experienced by others?
