If it helps, there is a leading edge cuff that is available from Lancair (used on the IVPT's) that expands the VS approx 2-3" fwd and "swoops" down into the upper fuselage above the baggage area. Might also be a fix option. I have closed the vertical stabilizer and found out afterwards the L.E. was not on the centerline. Diff. on the worst is allmost 3/4 inch. I have sendt a mail to Lancair tech, but have no response.
