I think that you'll like that arrangement better,
Bob. Although we've never had an actual pump failure, we have tested it
extensively in the single pump mode and it works perfectly, getting ALL of the
fuel from BOTH wings.

I also stated that when either wing tank is dry, the pump will suck
air. If the pumps are located low enough, that won't be a problem. It
sounds like Bill & Sue have their pumps mounted at floor level (good).
My one transfer pump is mounted to the back of the header tank, and
sucks air when either wing empties (bad).
I'll be switching to two
pumps on the floor real soon now.
