Be CAREFUL. The PE sheet from Home Depot contains a release agent,
generally some kind of soap. Any additional bids or primer over the
surfaces will probably not adhere well. The soaps are easily removed.

I have used cheap "drop cloth" plastic sheets for multiple bid layups with no resultant bonding problems. 

 

Any plastic sheets with a coating could undo all of the sanding and cleaning that went before or after the bid is applied.
