If you
hunt through the Digi-Key catalog (or root around on-line) you'll find that
there are sockets for those Omron relays used for the flaps. These make
service replacement of the relays much easier. If you do use the sockets,
be sure to also order the retaining springs, otherwise you may trade the problem
of failing contacts for one of relays falling out!
I'd dig out the part numbers and post 'em,
but my file of old Digi-Key invoices seems to have wandered off during my move
last year. Arrggh.
