I talked to a guy a while back with experience at the Beechcraft
factory. On Bonanzas, they test fly the airplane and adjust the wings
until the plane flies straight. Then they tape on the stall strips and
adjust them until the plane stalls straight ahead with no wing drop. Then
they bond on the stall strips.
That seems like a good system for our Lancairs. Make the stall strips
and use aluminum tape or similar material to test them before they are
permanently bonded in place. I think prefabricated stall strips could even
be painted before bonding and added to an already painted wing.
