I use Peltor's for 3 reasons.

1) Thin headband
2) Battery in headset so there is no large external battery box
3) Best non-ANR noise reduction in case the batteries run down

At Sun&Fun in 1999 I bought David Clarks (High quality), Lightspeed (Low quality) and Peltor 7104 ANR (medium quality). I wore all of them for 30 days and kept the Peltors. The cost at the time was $525.00.

One thing I always liked about the Peltor (same as Sennheiser, I believe) is that the headband is very thin, giving me more headroom.
