I don't know about 900 feet, because I don't know exactly where my
touchdown occurs, but I fly my Legacy out of KORS on Orcas Island in
Washington.  The runway is 2900 feet long and downhill.  I turn off the
runway at the center taxiway after light-to-medium braking, even when
landing downhill, unless I have used more than my normal speed across
the threshold.  I have landed at Twin Oaks Airpark (7S3) in Oregon
several times without using more than half of the 2400 foot runway,
again without braking hard.  For me, a key element in making the center
taxiway seems to be getting the flare just right, so as to avoid float.
