One of the things that can happen with unbalanced antennas on composite AC is that there can be antenna currents running on the outside of the coax shield. One thing to try is to get a clamp-on ferrite at Radio Shack and put it on the com cable as close as possible to the antenna. If you've got a copper foil antenna, or even a groud-plane (counterpoise) antenna, this can be a help. Antenna currents can also cause RF to get into the mike and PTT leads, giving bad TX at some frequencies. The other thing to check is whether the extra current drawn by the com in TX is loading the input voltage to the Tru-Trak.
