Alan -
We used the standard Lancair-recommended tubing and fittings. I also used
Colder products for connection to various instruments because they are
easily installed and are quick connect/disconnect. BMA uses them to connect
pitot and static lines to their CPU. I've used them for fittings on the CO2
lines in my draft beer reefer. Great stuff.
However, when I had to hook up the alternate systems to the autopilot after
the stack had been installed, I ordered some of the swivel fittings from
McMaster-Carr to go into a very tight area. I also used the els,
wyes, T's, etc. I wish that I had known about them and used them in lieu of
the Lancair standard stuff. It's so much faster, easier and compact. The
leak checks on the systems were all good.
Cheers,
John
